Hello, and welcome to the Snowcloak Forums! This is intended to be a slower-paced, more relaxed alternative to the Discord server for those who prefer it, or who don't want to deal with age verification. As the forums are self-hosted, we have a bit more flexibility in what our rules can be. This post is split into rules and guidelines.

While not rules per se, we know that for a lot of you, forums were already on the way out by the time you started using the Internet and you might just straight up have never used one. That's fine! These are just a few scattershot notes so you know what to expect.
Rules
- Be Sensible
The Snowcloak forums are restricted to users older than 18 - this means everyone here is an adult, and should act like one.
- No NSFW Outside of NSFW Sections
Things like GPoses and art have dedicated NSFW sections for anything you wouldn't want to get caught looking at in an office setting. If it straddles the line; just post it in NSFW.
- No Spamming
There's no need to make 8 posts in one minute with forums - take your time and write a full post.
- No NSFW content involving minors
Obviously.
- Individual Forum Rules
Different categories might have their own set of rules that apply. In these instances, the above applies (unless specifically noted otherwise) as well as that forum's rules.
Guidelines

- Forums don't need you to be permanently present - hop on, post your stuff, hop off. Come back when you feel like it, there's no obligation to check in every five minutes to catch up.
- Conversations are asynchronous - threads mean a topic can be picked up hours, days, or weeks later (though greybeards might get huffy about necroposting in the latter case. For the rules though, we don't care)
- Think your posts through. There's no character limit, no typing notifications, or anything designed to artificially pressure you into typing up a fast response. Just chill, take your time, if it's something that pissed you off take ten minutes and come back to it.
- We're assuming you're all adults - because of this, conversation can be a bit more relaxed. Assume good faith, until proven otherwise.
